Role Description
-
This is a full-time on-site role for a Fire Alarm Technician based in Windsor, ON. The Fire Alarm Technician will be responsible for installing, inspecting, repairing, testing, and maintaining fire alarm and life safety systems. Day-to-day tasks include troubleshooting system issues, performing preventive maintenance, and ensuring compliance with safety codes and regulations. The role also involves providing excellent customer service while addressing clients’ technical needs and ensuring safety standards are met.
Key Responsibilities and Requirements:

2+ years work experience as a technician.
-
Conduct/Assist in performing monthly/quarterly/semi-annual/annual inspections of fire alarm systems, emergency lighting, fire extinguishers, and fire hose cabinets.

Conduct/Assist in performing deficiency repairs
-
Conduct/Assist with fire alarm panel repairs, testing, and system verification
-
Experience with monitoring systems, emergency lighting systems, and extinguishing systems

Experience with hand tools and multi-meter usage.

Demonstrates an aptitude for troubleshooting systems and performing necessary repairs.

Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.

Capable of performing physical labour that includes carrying and moving equipment and tools up to 40 lbs.

Ability to work flexible hours, including evening/weekends, and on-call schedule to meet customer requirements.

Demonstrate a high level of customer service.

Self-starter that can work with little to no supervision.

Must have an excellent work ethic with strong dependability

Ability to adhere to, implement, and follow safety guidelines and procedures at all times.

Valid Canadian Fire Alarm Association (CFAA) registration
-
Valid driver’s license.
-
Criminal record check required.
Qualifications
-
Strong skills in Troubleshooting and problem resolution for technical issues.

Knowledge and experience in Life Safety systems and compliance with safety regulations.

Excellent Customer Service skills to interact effectively with clients.

Completion of a technical certification or diploma program related to fire alarm systems or electrical engineering is a plus.

Ability to interpret system schematics, drawings, and technical manuals.

Valid driver’s license and ability to travel locally as required.

Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining safety standards.
